SUMMER INTERNSHIP AT PARKINSON CONSTRUCTION
Parkinson Construction is proud be one of the businesses that is part of the LEAD Program.
(LEAD) - LEARNING ENGINEERING and DESIGN
Parkinson Construction has interns from Elizabeth Seton High School (www.setonhs.org) to work during the summer. We started accepting interns for the Lead Program in the summer of 2011 and have continued since then. Our current Summer 2017 interns are - Lauren Gomes '20 and Betty Solomon '20.
The Purpose of the Internship Program at Parkinson Construction Company is to facilitate student learning opportunities outside the classroom theory to "real world" situations thus enhancing the students' academic and career goals.
Leadership and Skill Development
- What we provide is administrative skills
- Opportunity to practice communication and teamwork skills
- Gain industry knowledge first hand from an organization and professionals
- Apply some of the ideas learned in school and provide a bridge between school and the professional world
